Choose Essential Oils For Aromatherapy-Enhanced Massage

Aromatherapy uses natural, essential oils to soothe and relax the body and mind. They have been found to have beneficial healing properties, and can be used in a few different ways. At LaVida Massage of Gainesville, our experienced aromatherapists and massage therapists can help you select the perfect oils for your needs and bring you one step closer to relaxation. Aromatherapy can help calm the nerves, quiet the mind, and even help improve sleep habits.

One way you can receive your aromatherapy treatment is by having your oils incorporated into your massage lotion. While you are experiencing one of our therapeutic massages, you’ll receive the added benefit of a therapist working the pleasant-smelling oil onto your skin. Not only will you smell the aroma in the air, your body will be silky-smooth and well moisturized when you are finished. Another way we can work aromatherapy into your visit is by direct inhalation. Instead of mixing the essential oils with your lotion, we will saturate a tissue or cotton ball with the proper amount, and place it effectively under your massage table. At the same time, you’ll enjoy an atmosphere of dim lighting, soft music, and privacy.

Our essential oil options include:

Peppermint: Asthma, colic, exhaustion, fever, flatulence, headache, nausea, scabies, sinusitis, vertigo
Lavender: Stress, anxiety, sadness, agitation, allergies, asthma, chicken pox, colic, depression, ear aches, insect bites, migraines
Eucalyptus: Arthritis, bronchitis, cold sores, colds, coughing, fever, flu, poor circulation, sinusitis
Tea Tree: Antiseptic, anti-fungal, infection-reducing, rashes, burns, dandruff, acne, lice, warts, insect bites, psoriasis
Lemon: Cleansing, purification, digestion, cough relief, nausea, depression, stress, insomnia, asthma, colds
Tangerine: Antiseptic, sedative, anti-coagulant, anxiety, circulation, dizziness, energy, digestion, bacterial infections, anger

We even developed our own custom blends for people who experience sinus discomfort and headaches. Come into LaVida Massage of Gainesville today to experience the benefits of all-natural aromatherapy!
